Renowned American Fashion Designer Kate Spade was found dead in her apartment at New York Park Avenue on Tuesday, June 5. The designer was 55.
Kate is reported to have committed suicide as she was found dead by her house-keeper hanged to a red robe on her door Knob. The designer left behind a suicide note addressed to her 13 year old daughter Frances Beatrice Spade.
The suicide note reads;
Bea- I have always loved you. This is not your fault. Ask Daddy!
Kate launched her own brand of handbags in 1993 and opened a small boutique in SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan soon after. Her handbags were distinctive for their modern, sleek look pops of color and utilitarian shapes. She was business partner with her husband Andy Spade brother to Actor David Spade.
In 2004, Kate shared her personal style and philosophies in her three books; Manners, occasions and style.
On 9 February, 2018 at the New York Fashion week, Jade launched her Jade Spade Fall/winter 2018 collection. May her departed soul rest in peace!
