Fan army of American singer Britney Spears, on Monday held a protest in Los Angeles in defense of a possible hostage situation against the singer’s will as online rumors report.
The Britney fans gathered at West Hollywood City Hall holding sheets and paper boards that read “Free Britney” and “Truth Will Set Her Free”. Attendees of the staged protest also screamed aloud to the hearing of YouTube viewers, the words, “Hey, ho, Larry Rudolph has got to go.”
Despite confirmations that came in last month that the pop-singer checked into the facility herself to seek mental care within a period of 30 days, fans are of the view that Britney’s longtime manager Larry, is the one holding her against her will inside the facility and as such amounting to the protest.
Britney and Rudolph have both shared a longtime relationship as artist and manager for over a decade. Britney came out in the early beginning of January 2019 to announce her break from music indefinitely as a result of her father’s failing health condition. The singer has since then cancelled all shows scheduled for the year including her Las Vegas residency concert, which was set to kick off in February.
On Easter Sunday, People reported that the singer was given a one-day leave to celebrate the festive occasion with her family, while continuing her 30-day stay in rehab treatment.
