Is Augmented Reality the Future of Advertising?

An Introduction To Augmented Reality with The Founders of West Africa’s First AR Marketing App.

PBG Tenda will introduce Augmented Reality (AR) technology as a tool for advertising and marketing and showcase its revolutionary software application, Point & Play to top marketing and advertising companies in Ghana on the 27th of February at the La Villa Boutique Hotel, Osu. The session entitled, “Is Augmented Reality the Future of Advertising?” will highlight AR’s potential, it impacts on advertising globally and demonstrates how the technology transforms an environment into a digital interface by superimposing a computer-generated image on to a user’s view of the real world.

Point & Play is West Africa’s first augmented reality app designed for Android and IOS phone users, that will allow consumers to interact and experience with their favorite brands and products. The app will also enable advertisers and marketers to create innovative campaigns that integrate digital elements.

“Augmented Reality is an emerging technology that has the potential to revolutionize business in all sectors including healthcare, media, education, banking, and especially advertising. We understand that Africa is often behind the technology curve but with Point & Play we want to provide West African advertisers an opportunity to be on the forefront of this trend that has been utilized by global brands such as IKEA,Coca Cola, Pepsi, and Lacoste,” says Nana Arthur Mensah, an international marketing consultant and analyst and co-founder of PBG Tenda, a creative and technology development company.

Ghanaian based advertising and marketing professionals will be invited to attend the “Is Augmented Reality the Future of Advertising?” session and to learn more about the technology and how it can be incorporated into their strategies.
