Basking two Grammy awards at the 2019 edition (New Artist of the year and best dance recording), Dua Lipa, has done everything a 23-year-old singer can be proud of. The English singer has graced the cover of British Vogue, attended the Met Ball, which of course is a big deal for fashion dreamers and amassed a total of 30.4 million followers on Instagram.
Adding more content to her stunning resume, Lipa has been named YSL Beaute’s newest fragrance ambassador. A feat she has attained, thanks to her embodiment of everything style perfect, while sticking to her unique self, which identifies her on the list of many, regardless the occasion. “She embodies today’s liberated, no compromise, write-your-own-rules YSL woman. Because her fierce brand of freedom and sensuality expresses the fiery legacy of Yves Saint Laurent,” read a statement from the house.
Lipa identifies herself with the fragrance as a result of its symbolic fearlessness and ability to catch up with her philosophical believes. “I connect so much with the campaign because of its fearlessness. I stand for the importance of being confident, strong and powerful and of not compromising on who you are, what you do, and I feel that goes down very well with the same philosophy behind the Yves Saint Laurent new fragrance,” wrote Lipa in a statement.
The Grammy winner, who doubles as number 2 on the list of most streamed female artiste, next to Ariana Grande, takes on the ambassadorial role following the footsteps of Cara Delevingne and Jessica Chastain. Lipa will begin her first debut collaboration with the beauty brand by becoming the face of a new feminine fragrance, to be unveiled later this year.
