Founder and CEO of GUBA, Akosua Dentaa Amoateng MBE, has been appointed brand ambassador to the Royal Senchi Hotel, based in Accra Ghana.
Dentaa’s appointment is in relation to the ‘Year of Return’ activities, which is geared towards encouraging Ghanaians in the diaspora and in general people of African descent dispersed across the Occident to visit the motherland.
Head of Sales and Marketing of Royal Senchi, Mr. Emmanuel Mensah disclosed of the motive behind the ambassadorial delegation, “Our president declared 2019 as the Year of Return, which in effect places the onus on us as a hospitality business to play a crucial role in making that a success. This appointment we believe will push our brand, but also the bigger brand Ghana even further internationally. We are getting to the holiday season and we hope that this would draw the attention of more members of the Ghanaian diaspora as well as descendants of our sequestered brothers and sisters to the country.”
Already a trader when it comes to pointing out the good qualities of Ghana to the international market, Dentaa’s role is to point potential visitors to the culturally diverse and beautiful country of Ghana using Royal Senchi Hotel as the selling tag. The GUBA founder’s good works caused her to receive an honorary tile by Queen Elizabeth II as a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to UK-African Diaspora relations.
The management of the hotel are highly hopeful that their choice of an ambassador would attract more tourist to Ghana and in the hotel.
