Demi Lovato is set to perform at the 2020 Superbowl. The games’ theme activity, which features musical performances will have Demi sing the national anthem during the opening, while Jennifer Lopez and Shakira take over the halftime to perform.
The Grammy nominee shared the news via her Instagram handle on Thursday saying, “Singing the National Anthem at #SBLIV. See you in Miami @NFL.” The last Demi performed live on stage was in 2018 at her ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ world tour, before going on hospital admission for drug overdose.
Demi’s live performance at the Superbowl is preceded by her 2020 Grammy Awards appearance where the singer is slated to perform.
Past ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ performers at the Superbowl include Gladys Knight (2019), Pink (2018), Lady Gaga (2016), Alicia Keys (2013), Beyoncé (2004) and several others.
FOX will telecast the game live on February 2, 2020.
