Demi Lovato Bounces back with Thank You message

In a lengthy statement posted to her Instagram page on Sunday afternoon, the 25-year old pop star breaks her silence for the first time. The singer started off by admitting that her addiction is something she can only overcome by a continuous effort, which she has not done yet.

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” she writes. “What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”

Her write-up continues with a thank you to God for keeping her alive and well. With a large fan base to her belt and how supportive they have been throughout her ailment, Demi did not turn a blind eye to their support. “To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time,” Demi thanked her fans.

The third out of the five paragraphed full statement was used to thank her family, team and the staff at Cedars-Sinai. “I want to thank my family, my team, and the staff at Cedars-Sinai who have been by my side this entire time. Without them I wouldn’t be here writing this letter to all of you.”

If fans of the pop star are thinking of a quick comeback on stage after her hospitalization, that is not happening as assumed. The pop star disclosed in the last segment that she needs time to heal and focus on her sobriety and road to recovery. “I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side,” wrote Demi.

She ends the write-up with the promise that she will keep on fighting.

Demi was hospitalized in the early hours of Tuesday, July 24. According to reports the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ songstress will be released in the next few days and the plan is for her to go on rehab.
