After a long repetition of tumbles the 91st Oscars suffered from before its final air date yesterday, February 24, at the Dolby Theatre, the show came
to a close with ‘Green Book’ scoring the top honor of the night for best picture.
The biggest evening in Hollywood ended with a glorious win for Regina King and Rami Malek, who both won their first ever Academy award in the acting
category. For the loss on the side of Glenn for best actress with ‘The Wife’ movie, the Oscar nominee continues on in her reign as the
most-nominated living actor to never win an Oscar, tallying up to 7 nominations by far.
The most rooted for category ‘best original song’ win for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper came to live after the duo took home the prize for
‘Shallow’, while Ludwig Guransson claimed a win for the score of ‘Black Panther’. Spike Lee won his first Academy award for ‘best adapted
screenplay’ with Nick Vallelonga, Brian Hayes Currie and Peter Farrelly winning best original screenplay for ‘Green Book’.
‘The Favourite’, which claimed the highest slot of nomination in 10 categories together with Roma, took home just one award for best actress in
favor of Olivia Colman and three wins for ‘Roma’ including best director for Alfonso Cuaron. The not-so-much talked about movie for the season
‘First Man’nabbed the best visual effect win while ‘Free Solo’ earned the best documentary feature award.
