On Monday, 26th September, 2022, UNFPA Ghana Goodwill Ambassador and CEO of Glitz Africa, Claudia Lumor participated in a free class session at the 2022 Hair Senta International Beauty show dubbed HIBS Africa.
Speaking on the topic, “Is quitting your job the solution?’ Claudia shared her experience of leaving her banking career to start the Glitz Africa magazine. She remarked that unlike the common perception that entrepreneurship offers one more free time, the contrary is often the case as one has to work extra hours to make the business stand. Commitment is key for entrepreneurial success.
Claudia also emphasized the need for persons thinking of quitting their 9 to 5 jobs to carefully consider the reason why they would leave their salary jobs to start their business. The ‘why’ is very important; be it for money or for impact. “You need to decide well,” she said.
