Claudia Lumor among speakers for The Coalition for Reproductive Justice in Business event in New York

The Coalition for Reproductive Justice in Business, established by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) will host a side event on the theme ‘Building Private Sector Accountability for Reproductive Justice’ at this year’s United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The event slated to take place on September 21, 2023 in New York is a side event at the 78th session of the UNGA and is expected to bring together stakeholders including business leaders, foundations and philanthropic organizations, academia, civil society organizations and youth advocates to help broaden the ecosystem of the Coalition for Reproductive Justice in Business to source ideas, tools and lessons on best practices to accelerate private sector investments in women’ health among other objectives.

Among the speakers for the event is the Chief Executive Officer of Glitz Africa, Claudia Lumor who also doubles as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNFPA.

Other speakers for the event include the Deputy Executive Director of UNFPA, IB Petersen, Director, Division of Communications and Strategic Partnerships UNFPA, Ian McFarlane, Chief, Strategic Partnerships Branch UNFPA, Mariarosa Cutillo among others.

Claudia will serve as a moderator on the panel ‘Championing Reproductive Justice in Business’ and will be joined by Aparna Sanjay, Director of the Impact Catalyst Foundation Inc. Claudia’s inclusion to the line-up of speakers to help project the weight of such a course is an endorsement to her many years of advocacy for reproductive rights and justice for women within the corporate circles.

As a notable business woman and CEO, Claudia’s foundation’s (Glitz Care Foundation) objectives are centred around the welfare of women and children. Together with the foundation, Claudia has led key fundraising projects that have sought to protect the rights and image of women and children across board.
