Following her take on the docu-series Surviving R Kelly, the documentary detailing three decades of allegations of sexual and physical abuse made against the R&B singer Kelly, the actress/model Cara Delevingne was met with 50,000 drop of followers on Instagram after declaring her full support to the victims and calling out Kelly a ‘predator that feeds off power.’
Followed up with another post to share the 50,000 loss, Delevingne pledged in her write-up to stay confrontational this year knowing perfectly well it might go against other people’s views. She wrote for the gram, “In 2019, I want to be more confrontational. Confrontation is not violence by the way, it’s communication. Something I still struggle with. I have always been taught to avoid confrontation at all costs, which caused me to be silent most of my life, silence causes suppression and suppression causes sickness. Not anymore! Goodbye silence and backward followers, hello confrontation and forward thinkers. It’s going to be a loud year.”
Currently left with 41.2 million followers, Cara joins the handful celebrities such as John Legend, Jada Pinkett Smith, Chance The Rapper, Keke and Lady Gaga to have spoken up against R Kelly’s actions as depicted in the docu-series, Surviving R Kelly.
