Bright of Buk Bak fame remembers late partner ‘Ronnie’

Five years down the line after the death of his partner, Ronnie Coaches of the 2000s hit group ‘Buk Bak’ the living member of the defunct group Prince Bright, has paid tribute to the late member in a penned down post on Instagram.

Bright wrote in memory of the late Ronnie yesterday, November 21 saying, Cochella! Today 11/21 marks 5 years of your silence my king. I still can’t get over you bro. I’m finally home after all these years. That’s a step toward recovery. I know you got me. It’s BUKBAK till infinity charley! Hmmm! ?.”

Later on in the day, Bright in an interview on Hitz FM, the death of Ronnie’s was a phase which really affected him in all aspects and not just music.  He said, “I was really shut down and affected mentally, physically and even had to halt a project.” The fate of going solo was unknown to him, after the other’s death, “Ronnie’s death really affected my career and at a point, I was confused as to whether to continue or quit music. He was everything I had and actually the one behind our songs so I felt a part of me was dead. He was the mover, shaker and fatherly figure of Buk Bak,” said Bright.

Ronnie passed on at the early hours of November 21, 2013, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after suffering from a heart attack. The group are owners of popular Ghanaian songs such as, Kolom, Condom, Gonja Barracks and many others.
