Media Mogul, Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi popularly known as Bola Ray will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Global Liquor brand, Jack Daniels at the Nightlife Awards 2018.
This honorary award comes as a result of his immense contributions to the entertainment and nightlife industry. JDNA is an official awards scheme that rewards excellence in the burgeoning nightlife industry in the country. This year’s ceremony is made up of 10 categories with notable personalities in entertainment nominated.
Bola Ray is the CEO of media company, EIB Network and Empire entertainment, organizers of the annual Ghana meets Naija concert. Bola joined Top Radio after Radio Universe, where he hosted Top City Jam, while still a student at University of Ghana. He was the first African and Ghanaian to host Top of the Pops on BBC Radio. In 2003, he moved to Joy FM to become the host of the Drive Time show leading it to be recognized as the most influential drive time show on radio in Ghana.
Aside his CEO duties he also serves as a TV presenter on GhOne TV on his show ‘Revealed with Bola’ where he travels across the African continent to interact with personalities in entertainment, corporate, sports and governance. Bola is most remembered by the average Ghanaian as host of TV3’s Music Music, which he co-hosted with Stacey Amoateng in the early beginnings of the ended show.
Launched on May 17, the Event & Public Relations Manager, Derrick Addai-Darko, revealed that this year’s edition will introduce many exciting additions to the awards building on the success of last year’s event. He promised Ghanaians that this year’s edition of the awards ceremony will be a memorable one.
