Working with Bola Ray’s helmed media house, EIB Network for close to a decade, Berla Mundi is taking her face and voice off the screens of EIB as she now joins Media General, parent company to TV3, 3FM and Onua FM.
Penned in an open letter full of gratitude and what to expect next, Berla announced her exit from the company saying, “Just like every chapter, ours has come to an end much sooner than I would have wanted, but I would forever cherish the family you were to me. I take along with me all the lessons learnt as I begin a new journey with my new family and I hope with your blessings I can share the light and positivity with Media General who have by the way, welcomed me with open arms.”
In the years spent with EIB Network, stationed under their television space GHOne TV, Berla started off as host on Omnibus, a daily entertainment update show across the globe. She later joined her former colleague Blaque Boy as co-host on Rythmz, which she soon handled as solo host.
Within the specs of some years at EIB, Berla became a regular voice over artiste in almost every advertised commercial on the channel, alongside fronting most televised shows on the station including; Miss Malaika Ghana, produced by Charter House and Glitterati, which she stepped in after Deborah Vanessa’s bow-out.
Aside her in front of the camera roles at EIB, the multiple Glitz Style Awards winner also made her voice a strong contender in the radio space as she served as co-host on ‘Starr Drive’ at Star FM. Her trademark in the media fraternity has lauded her into becoming one of Ghana’s most celebrated female media personalities of all time and as a result featured as cover girl alongside Nana Aba Anamoah, Anita Erskine and Afia Pokua on Glitz Africa Magazine’s ‘Leading Ladies in Media’ issue.
Berla’s living achievements transcends from being a regular television presenter to a go-to event MC. She reigns as a two-time in a row Vodafone Ghana Music Awards hostess (2018-2019), European Union Africa Business Forum 2019, Ghana Manufacturing Awards 2019 and a panel member at the 2018 SHE Summit, organized by Glitz Africa.
She joins the list of former EIB Network presenters; Naa Ashorkor, AJ Sarpong, Anita Erskine, Giovani Caleb, Baisiwa Dowuona Hammond and Kafui Dey.
