The Hollywood star who recorded a water-spilling encounter with Grammy winner Eminem, Salma Hayek has been included to the lineup of the speakers for British Vogue's first-ever Forces For Change event.
Taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre on Saturday March 7, Salma will join Pakistani Writer Fatima Bhutto and CNN Anchor Christiane Amanpour as a keynote speaker for the event, which forms part of the schedule of this year's Women of The World Festival.
The event will feature a host of artists, activists and fashion pioneers coming together to discuss topics surrounding diversity, mental health and sustainability; arising from British Vogue's September 2019 issue 'Forces For Change' which was guest edited by The Duchess of Sussex. It solely aims at giving inspiring leaders, rising stars and new disruptors a concrete platform to discuss issues that will support positive cultural change.
“British Vogue Forces for Change is a movement not a moment. Through it, we want to create authentic conversations into more complex and nuanced areas, whether they concern female empowerment, mental health, or sustainability,” said Edward Enninful, Editor-in-Chief for British Vogue.
Salma is a star from the popular television shows 'Ugly Betty', '30 Rock', 'Teresa' and in the films 'Grown Ups', 'Desperado', and 'Frida'.
