Jimmy Kimmel in partnership with Disney Channel are setting up a new television show 'Revenge of the Nerd', which will have chase after wrongdoers and exact revenge on them using homemade technology. The series has received eight-order episodes already, and will star Kimmel alongside YouTuber Mark Rober. In the show, Kimmel and Rober will scour the world to catch evildoers in the act, and punish them using homemade technology and creative engineering. Rober will lead a team of 'Avengineers' who identify troublemakers and build devices to teach them lessons they won't likely forget, published The Hollywood Reporter. Kimmel's Kimmelot production company is behind the series, with its president Scott Lonker alongside Kimmel, Rober, Scott Lewers and Joseph Boyle from Discovery and ITV America's David George and Karen Kunkel Young, serving as executive producers. Rober is best known in the YouTube arena, thanks much to his nearly 10 million subscribers and his glitter bomb development in 2018 that blasted thieves who stole packages from his front porch. Kimmel hosted the 2017 and 2018 Academy Awards, which ended in a mix-up with the best picture category for the former. Kimmel then made a joke about it in his closing act saying, "I knew I messed up the show", but the live-action show host reprised his role the following year and delivered a follow-up successful performance, making him one of the best Oscar host so far.
