In recent months, the fashion community has been buzzing with rumors that Anna Wintour, will be stepping down from her role as Editor-in-Chief and Artistic Director of the world renowned magazine, Vogue. The news about her possible exit sparked up following the huge reshuffling of staff at the Conde Nast owned company Vogue, which affected veteran Vogue staff members such as West Coast Editor, Lisa Love, Fashion Director, Tonne Goodman and Executive Fashion Editor, Phyllis Posnick. The fashion icon, who has served as Vogue's Editor-in-Chief and Artistic Director for 40 years was tipped by fashion enthusiasts to drop her sunglasses this year, but with a tweet posted by CEO of Conde Nast, Bob Sauerberg, it seems Anna will be at the spot indefinitely. "She is integral to the future of our company's transformation and has agreed to work with me indefinitely in her role as Vogue Magazine's editor-in-chief and artistic director," said Bob. Meanwhile, the September issue of Vogue will be guest edited by the Single Ladies singer, Beyoncé. The mother of three will apparently be taking on the responsibility of writing long form captions and choosing which photos to feature both inside and outside, a job that Wintour normally has the final say on. Raised in London by a British father and an American mother, Wintour formerly served as Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue, before taking the helm at its US sister publication in 1988. She became Conde Nast's Artistic Director in 2013, and was made a Dame last year for services to fashion and Journalism. Since becoming Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, Wintour has become an iconic figurehead in fashion, with Forbes magazine hailing her as the most powerful woman in media and entertainment.
