Angelina Jolie’s ‘Those Who Wish Me Dead’ secures a May theatrical release

Angelina Jolie’s latest screen work ‘Those Who Wish Me Dead’ has landed a May 14 theatrical release date.

Directed by Taylor Sheridan, the film is an adaptation work on Michael Koryta’s novel of the same name. It is developed with the premise of a teenage murder witness, who is lost in the wilderness with two assassins hunting him. A survival expert trying to protect him and a forest fire threatening them all. Koryta, Sheridan and Charles Levitt are behind the screenplay.

The film will also debut on HBO Max on the same day of its theatrical release. Tyler Perry, Nicholas Hoult, Jon Bernthal, Aidan Gillen, Medina Senghore, Finn Little and Jake Weber star opposite Jolie in the film.

Bron Studios co-produced and co-financed ‘Those Who Wish Me Dead’. Other producers include Steven Zaillian and Garrett Basch via their Film Rites banner.

Jolie will arrive early in theatres this month with the Chloe Zhao directed action/fantasy thriller ‘The Eternals’ which centres on a race of immortal beings, who lived on earth and shaped its history and civilisation.

She has also signed on to direct a biopic of Don McCullin, the revered British photographer whose work often showed the cruelty and dark underbelly of war. The feature is titled ‘Unreasonable Behaviour’ and it is being produced by Tom Hardy and Dean Baker via their Hardy Son & Baker outfit.

Jolie is repped by WME.
