As far as the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2019 is concerned, Stonebwoy is the lucky winner for Ghana with a third win in the best artist, duo or group in African reggae, ragga or dancehall category.
The ceremony, which awards excellence in music across the continent dashed out award plaques in favor of the year favorite Burna Boy, who won album of the year, best male artiste in Western Africa and the heavy win of the night artist of the year in Africa.
‘All Over’ singer Tiwa Savage also merited the best female artist Western Africa win, while 2 Baba walked home with the Legendary award and best artist, duo or group in African Contemporary. Khaligraph Jones and Nikita Kering from Kenya both won the best male artist and female artist in Eastern Africa respectively.
The night was hosted by South African media personality Pearl Thusi and British-Congolese comedian Eddie Kadi.
