Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, founder and overseer of Action Chapel International in Ghana has organized Operation Feed My People, a large-scale emergency feeding programme in response to the state of emergency lockdown in Ghana against the COVID-19 pandemic that will continue through the Easter holiday, and every day until the lockdown is lifted.
Operation Feed My People has provided over 12,000 prepared meals and water to Ghanaians since Monday, the 6th April, feeding families in disadvantaged areas, displaced workers, and the elderly who are challenged to get provisions on their own.
The effort which is fully funded by Archbishop Duncan-Williams, has included a team of cooks, relief workers, administrators, and other leaders from the Action Chapel International’s Compassion in Action team, who have worked tirelessly over the course of the week to feed over 2,000 daily in communities such as Madina, Haatso, Kwabenya, Ashaiman, Teshie Nungua, Paril, Lapaz, Christian Village, Kisseman, and provided food supplies to those in Trassaco Village.
The Archbishop encourages the community to help lessen the burden of the needy in these difficult times in any way possible and to consider joining efforts with Operation Feed My People with a cash or in-kind donation.
