Hollywood has lost one of its young actors, Cameroon Boyce. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the Disney Channel actor died in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. He was 20.
During his short period in life and as an actor, Boyce starred in multiple Disney produced movies including; ‘The Descendants’ and ‘Jessie’ plus ‘Austin & Ally’ ‘Liv and Maddie’ on the small screen. Mourning the loss of a colleague and friend in the industry, several Hollywood stars have taken to social media to pay their last respect and bid farewell to the deceased actor, who died on Saturday, July 6.
Playing father and son on the movie ‘Grown Ups’, Adam Sandler paid tribute to his onscreen son Boyce, with a Twitter post saying, “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave us. So much more on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences.”
Walt Disney Chairman and CEO, Bob Iger, stood on behalf of the Disney house with the message, “The Walt Disney Company mourns the loss of #CameronBoyce, who was a friend to so many of us, and filled with so much talent, heart and life, and far too young to die. Our prayers go out to his family and his friends.”
‘Euphoria’ star actress Zendaya, also tweeted, “Absolutely heartbreaking, my heart goes out to his friends and family.” The last uploaded black and white photo by Cameroon himself on his page was left with the comment, “love you. Forever in my heart,” wrote Skai Jackson, his ‘Jessie’ co-star.
May his young soul rest in peace!
