Less than two weeks after releasing her seventh studio album Beauty Marks, Ciara has been accepted to Harvard University’s Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports program.
Ciara extended a message of gratitude to Professor Anita Elberse, who “develops and teaches an MBA course covering the ‘Businesses of Entertainment, Media, and Sports,’ which ranks among the most sought-after courses in the School’s curriculum,” according to her profile on the Harvard Business School page.
The Harvard BEMS program will teach Ciara to “develop and execute more effective business strategies,” “debate and analyze the business and technology trends that are redefining the industry,” and “learn how to launch and manage creative products and portfolios more strategically.”
It’s a worthwhile skill set for Ciara to attain as she extends herself towards more business-oriented interests with the launch of her own record and entertainment company, Beauty Marks Entertainment, as well as her production company Why Not You Productions with husband Russell Wilson last month. The latter focuses on backing film, television, and digital content projects that tell “inspiring and aspiring narratives and human interest stories.”
