Meet the Speakers: Accra Edition of Africa Communications Week 2019

The Accra edition of Africa Communications Week (ACW) will be held on 22nd May, 2019 at 9:30 am at the Kukun Workspace, Osu and will be hosted by WaxPrint Media, one of Ghana’s leading digital marketing and PR agencies. ACW is a week-long global campaign held in over 30 countries across Accra and Europe to empower and equip Africa focused professionals with tools and resources to change the current narratives about Africa. The interactive session for experienced communications professionals will first explore digital automation and innovation tools for the communications industry followed by a panel of experts sharing thoughts on the ACW 2019 theme, “Can Africa Lead Disruptive Innovation in Communications?”

Venus Tawiah is a business-minded creative, entrepreneur and Director of Business Development at the multi award-winning advertising agency, Now Available Africa who manages and brings people together in the new world of integrated creative, traditional and digital propositions for organisations and brands including Esteé Lauder (Micheal Kors, Clinique, Jo Malone, Bobby Brown, Mac, Donna Karen), NESCAFÉ, Nido, PZ Cussons, Tigo/Airtel Tigo , SKY GIRLS GH, Access Bank Ghana,  SlydePay and GIZ (German Cooperative).

Venus is on the Ghana National Fencing Team, Board Member of Ghana Fencing Association and owner of @SunevCouture.

Makafui Ayimey

He also co-founded Accra Goods Market, the premier pop up market for food, fashion and music.

Jesse Arhin Ghansah

Jesse Ghansah specializes in Consumer Media, Digital Marketing, Public Relations and Content Publishing and is the co-founder and CEO of OMG Digital, a media company seeking to build Africa’s largest digital millennial audience with venture backing from Comcast, Y Combinator & Google.

In 2018, Jesse was ranked among 50 young Chief Executive Officers and prominent young Entrepreneurs in Ghana.

Muhammida El Muhajir (Moderator)

Muhammida El Muhajir is a global brand/digital marketing and media consultant, entrepreneur and filmmaker with extensive international travel/study/work experience in Europe, Asia, Latin America, The Caribbean, and Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Kenya, South Africa).

She is the Director of Strategy at WaxPrint Media, a West African based media/digital marketing agency who has worked with some of the world’s most innovative brands including Nike, Apple, Pepsico, Jaguar, Land Rover and Pernod Ricard.

“As digital marketers, we believe that Africa can’t lead disruption in communication without the necessary innovation tools to enhance how we communicate, connect and tell our stories.
