Wife of retired football player David Beckham and fashion designer extraordinaire, Victoria Beckham will host an intimate fashion show presentation and lunch in Toronto this November to help raise funds in support of fellow philanthropist, Suzanne Rogers charity programs. The Suzanne Rogers charity event dubbed ‘Suzanne Rogers Presents’ has been in existence for a decade and since its inception raised over $3 million for charities whose aim is to support the wellbeing of young people.
As a UNAIDS international goodwill ambassador, Victoria lauded Suzanne’s contribution to charity over the years and disclosed of her new philanthropic act, saying, “Suzanne’s charitable endeavors in bettering the lives of children around the world is inspiring, and I am delighted to be involved in the next series of her fundraisers.” Back in 2014, Victoria’s role as a UNAIDS ambassador was formalized in the direction of ending mother-to-child transmission of HIV after joining forces with Elton John AIDS foundation and other recognized organizations.
Total ticket sales income from the event will go to Camp Ooch, an oncology center for families affected by childhood cancer, and The Penelope Neuroblastoma Foundation, which funds brain tumor research and provides support for families affected by the illness. Excited and appreciative of Victoria’s involvement this season, Suzanne commented, “I am so pleased that Victoria has accepted the invitation to come to Toronto and deeply appreciate her personal commitment and generosity in supporting our children’s charities.”
Other charity houses and organizations to share in the benefit of the event will be announced within the coming months towards the event, which will be chaired by philanthropist Sylvia Mantella.
