It’s officially Glitz Africa Fashion Week, which means Accra and the entire African continent ought to be ready for a long weekend of show stopping runway fashion shows and exhibitions topped-up with fashion seminars for the note books.
In as much as we all are getting ready to see the best of this year’s runway men’s wear and women’s designs from leading and upcoming fashion designers, we also coming in as guests must for no reason in the world decide not to look good for the occasion. Besides the Fashion Week, who knows who might be spotting us for a billboard deal or fashion photo shoot? All we know is we must come in at our best outfit.
It’s been 6 years running now and we’ve witnessed people come in excited and leaving the venue anticipating for the next edition. Others too come in and enjoy the show, but their looks alone and accessories do not match with the occasion.

It’s a fashion affair and everybody who has got a ticket to make an appearance will opt for something which will cause cameras rolling for a shot. It’s going to be a mixture of diverse cultures all around the world represented by their own people and as such no one would want to be counted as number 1 from the bottom. Create for yourself your own style, and carry yourself well in the outfit as a representation of what your style truly represents. Being it a crop top, tank top, jumpsuit, a pair of shores, skinny trousers and large sized T-shirt, it’s yours, but then don’t ruin the beauty of it.

The ultimate thing running at a speed in our contemporary fashion and style community is a perfect matching beret and sunglasses. When going in for the beret and sunglasses too, don’t forget the color of your outfit because you wouldn’t like to come in looking like a rainbow from head to toe.

A sneaker to aid your easy movements and a waist purse to save you from carrying your phones and chargers in your hands, which by the way gets sweaty at times. You don’t really need that heavy Louis Vuitton bag that will cause you discomfort, neither do you need a high heel shoe to cause your feet pains, when you coming with the casual look. Keep it simple with the sneaker and waist purse trend.

As you already know, it’s going to be a long weekend and you definitely don’t want to get bored in the middle of activities. The up and down movement that comes along with meeting people and spotting your favorite designer or model for a selfie arguably needs a partner in crime to accomplish that. Don’t make a lonely appearance for it is said that friends who stay together, slay together.
