After taking a bow from music as a group in 2014, the once in a time favorite group Praye is set to make a comeback on the music front in few weeks with two singles from their upcoming ten track album.
The revelation of their comeback was made official by Choirmaster (one of the members of the group and group’s chorus singer) in an interview with Kwame Dadzie on Citi FM’s Celebrity Radar, “The group is ready. So far we’ve recorded about ten songs, but in the meantime we are dropping two. It took us a long time, but we have been preparing to give something good to our fans. In a week or two, our fans are going to have a feel of the Christmas banger,” Choirmaster disclosed.
Sharing in the excitement of their comeback as a group, the trio took to their individual Instagram handles with a recently shot photo of them captioned with the hashtag #prayeforever. Praye Tintin wrote “WE’RE BACK #prayeforever.” Big J Cartel, with the stage name Praye Tietia also captioned, “We are so READY. #PrayeForever #PrayeIsBack #GbangGbai #DiscoLight.”
Celebrating the official comeback of the group, wife of Cartel, Selly Galley also wrote for the captions “Back to take over the throne! Whayasay?! PRAYE! PRAYE FOR EVER! FIRE KIAN KOOL! Can’t wait to share with the world what I’ve had the privilege to listen to chai!! Bannnnnnger! #GbaiiGbang ARE YOU READY?! ???.”
Praye follows after Wutah, who reunited as a group last year, to have settled their differences after going solo for years. Within the 11 years togetherness of the group (2004-2014), Praye was among the handful of music groups in Ghana taking center stage on big platforms and events with their hit songs such as Angelina, Shordy, Jacket and others.
Known for their crowd moving spirit performances and soothing music in the past decade, we certainly can’t wait for their come back.
