He may be dead, but his legacy lives on. The late Hollywood Fast and Furious actor, Paul Walker features in the released documentary titled ‘I Am Paul Walker’.
The film will chronicle Walker’s early life, leading up to his Hollywood fame and his death in 2013, using archival footage with interviews. “Cinema didn’t capture it all. It couldn’t capture it all”. Fast and Furious director Bob Cohen says in the released trailer of the film. Walker’s Hollywood career has been well documented, but his upbringing in the San Fernando Valley was less publicized. The documentary details the actor’s wish to keep his personal life private, a life that included a Golden Glove champion father, Walker’s fascination for marine biology and his passion for surfing and auto racing.
In the trailer, Paul’s brother Caleb unveils that the Fast and Furious actor never wanted to be in the spotlight to begin with, and that he told his family he would be happy being a park ranger and live in the wilderness. “That’s really what he wanted to do”, Caleb said.
The documentary was directed by award-winning director, Derik Murray and is set to premiere Saturday, August 11 at 9 pm ET/PT on Paramount Network.
