The 2018 MTV Movie and TV awards was officially shown on MTV last night at 9 p.m ET. The event was held and taped on Saturday, June 16 at Banker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
Show host Tiffany Haddish, took home the Best Comic Performance award for her role in Girls Trip. Long running TV reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians won for Best Reality Series/Franchise. The highest win of the night was the movie Black Panther as the movie won 4 awards followed by Stranger Things with 3 wins.

Highlights of the night were not only the performances that graced the stage, but then also some winning speeches of the award recipients got people cheering and yelling throughout their speech delivery.
Nick Robinson and Keiynan Lonsdale won Best Kiss for their kissing scene in Love, Simon. Lonsdale took to the stage and delivered a powerful speech about how any youngster can live his dreams and do any other thing he or she wants to do. His co-actor Nick Robinson was not present to receive the award.
Generation award recipient, Chris Pratt also had a message for everyone in his acceptance speech.
“Don’t be a turd. If you’re strong, be a protector and if you’re smart, be a humble influencer. Strength and intelligence can be weapons and do not wield them against the weak. That makes you a bully. Be bigger than that”.
