This week, WaxPrint Media hosted an introductory breakfast session on Augmented Reality with the founders of Point & Play, an augmented reality marketing app during an intimate gathering at La Villa Boutique Hotel.
Professionals from some of Ghana’s top advertising agencies including Brand Communications, Innova DDB, StratComm Africa and Ogilvy and Mather were in attendance to learn how this innovative technology is poised to be the future of advertising and marketing.
Global brands such as IKEA, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Lacoste are currently utilizing augmented reality to engage consumers and revolutionize their advertising/marketing campaigns.
“It was a privilege to meet top advertising and marketing professionals in the country to discuss Augmented Reality as the future for advertising and demonstrate how this emerging technology serves as an innovative and creative way of connecting with customers. Our goal is to provide Ghanaian businesses with access to current and future marketing tools with the introduction of our Point & Play app”, says Derrick Badupoku Amaning, co-founder of PBG Tenda who along with Nana Arthur-Mensah are the Ghanaian developers of the app.
During the program, guests had an opportunity to demo the Point & Play app to interact with bring print materials and advertisements to life with augmented reality.
