“Dr. Yvette Appiah and Neh Onumah met in Philadelphia during residency training. I, Oge Onwudiwe, met Yvette during a job interview, and Neh and I met through Yvette. We are dermatologists who are medically trained experts in skin and skincare. Our products combine decades of experience bottled up for the every day consumer.
Simply put, “good skin” should be smooth, clear and radiant with minimal to no pores. You should wear sunscreen daily, use products rich in antioxidants and use a gentle, but effective cleanser twice per day. You shouldn’t use harsh products as this can cause injury, which can lead to inflammation, discoloration and scarring. An ideal regimen should include a good cleanser, primer, treatment serum and a moisturizer with sunscreen.
We have a multitude of ingredients that treat acne, pigmentation, aging, razor bumps, etc. We tried to incorporate some ingredients throughout the line such as Vitamin C. Vitamin C is an antioxidant known to combat free radicals which lead to collagen degradation. It also stimulates collagen production, which is essential to the strength and firmness of skin. When collagen is degraded, the skin begins to sag and wrinkles form. Factors such as over exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, pollution, stress can accelerate this.
