SHE Boss UK 2024 – Recap of Key Moments

On July 14th 2024, Glitz Africa hosted the second edition of SHE Boss UK under the theme, ImpactHER: Building a Sustainable Future Through female – led enterprises.

The event brought together inspiring female leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across the country. The theme of the event, resonated deeply with attendees, highlighting the pivotal role women play in driving sustainable economic growth and social progress.

Held at the Nobu Portman Hotel London, the day was packed with insightful panel discussions, fireside chats and networking opportunities.

 

 

The first panel discussion under the topic ‘’Innovative Solution by Female Entrepreneurs’ was led by Amira Mansour, a Communications Coach with panelists including, Yasmine Rasselkaf (Cybersecurity Systems Engineer), Amani Sheriff (Luxury Property Sales and Investment), Ateh Jewel (Award winning Beauty Vlogger), Michelle Raymond (Corporate Leadership Coach and Trainer).

 

The second panel discussion centered on the topic ‘’Overcoming financial barriers: Access to Capital’’ with panelists including, Enas Daeki (Founder, Sobo club), Kika Ashanike (CEO, LVC Trust), Yvonne Bajela (Founder, LocalGlobe), Vanessa Fernandes (Award winning Entrepreneur) and Onyeka Nweze (Founder/CEO, Unikorn & The May She Prosper Journals) with Mika Abraham (Global Host) as conversation lead.

The second edition of SHE Boss UK also featured a fireside chat conversation with seasoned journalists, Anne – Marie Dias Borges and Bola Mosuro on their individual career journeys and growth.

Former Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and financial Services & Telecommunications Executive, Lucy Quist gave the closing speech and urged both speakers and attendees to keep making impact in their respected fields.

The event was hosted by Claudia – Liza Vanderpuije, seasoned television presenter.

Networking played a crucial role in the success of ImpactHER. The event facilitated meaningful connections between attendees, speakers, and mentors. The supportive atmosphere encouraged the exchange of ideas, collaboration, and the formation of new partnerships. Many participants left the event with a renewed sense of purpose and a network of like-minded individuals committed to driving positive change.

A special segment of the event was dedicated to honouring outstanding SHE Bosses who have made significant contributions to sustainability.
