His name is Aboagye Adrian Emmanuel Neizer, a recent graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Bsc. Physics. His tale so far tells of the inspiring journey he is on, combining his academic prowess in the sciences with his passion for music to dj.
- What inspired you to be a DJ?
I believe music is life and music can put a smile on a face. That has been my inspiration to make people happy through music.
- You recently won the Campus DJ of the year. How does it make you feel?
It makes me feel very happy and thankful for the fact that my work has been noticed. It also makes me feel challenged since there are higher heights out there.
How were you able to juggle studies with your DJ gigs?
Combining dj gigs and studies wasn’t easy but I managed to plan my time well to make sure each side had a good share. But trust me it wasn’t easy at all with the sleepless nights and all.
- Do you think it’s possible to have a career in your academic field and still be a professional DJ?
With hard work and determination, it is highly possible.
- Are there any other talents you have?
Aside ‘djing’, I play the drums, keyboard and flute. I am also good with the camera; I’m a social media analyst as well.
- Any word of advice for any aspiring DJ?
Focus, work hard, believe and love what you do.
