TV3 Ghana is slapping two new shows on the door of its entertainment cabinet. Both shows titled ‘The Day Show with Berla Mundi’ and ‘Family Feud’ will premiere on Saturday April 4, with the former airing at 10:30 am, while the latter comes viewers’ way at 9:00 pm GMT.
‘The Day Show with Berla Mundi’ will feature real life story issues told by the culprits themselves ranging from health, wealth, fashion and entertainment. The panel seat will also have on board experts in the field under discussion and also bring in celebrities to share their experiences. Aside the talking segment on the show, studio audience will get interactive during the ‘hot trends’ segment where they will be engaged by Berla on trending matters from entertainment through to social issues.
Bringing the widely popular world game show to Ghana, ‘Family Feud’ will be hosted by internationally recognized media icon Steve Harvey playing moderator between two teams of family or friends competing to name the most popular responses to gathered survey questions in order to win cash and prizes. So far, Ghana and South Africa are the only African countries to have their own version of ‘Family Feud’.
Speaking of the show’s debut in Africa, Harvey disclosed as the time of its pre-production last year, “Bringing Family Feud to Africa has long been a dream of mine. I believe Family Feud will become a household name for local families. And this is just the beginning in Africa. I expect this show to lead to multiple media and business projects in and throughout the continent.”
Both shows have received frequent commercial plays on the station and in them flashed some well-known personalities such as James Gardiner, Giovani Caleb, Eddie Nartey partaking in the ‘Family Feud’ game show as a playing team.
Presence of live studio audience in both shows does not in any way flout the directive of the President of Ghana concerning the coronavirus pandemic’s control measures taken as both shows were pre-recorded before the first COVID-19 case hit the country.
