Two-time Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou, is set to join Emily Blunt for the second part of the 2018 horror hit movie ‘A Quiet Place’. Djimon comes in as replacement for Brian Tyree who had to back out from the sequel as a result of production schedules.
Djimon’s role to be played in the developing family vs. aliens fight film has not been disclosed yet. Fans of the actor are already anticipating for an all-round superhero role to be played, after his seen roles in past films have always placed him in the spotlight of an action-oriented person.
John Krasinski is returning to direct the follow-up, which already stars Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmons and newcomer Cillian Murphy. Andrew Form, Brad Fuller and Micheal Bay are producing. Paramount Pictures has eyed May 15, 2020 as release date for the sequel.
Djimon’s pile of movies comprises ‘Shazam’ and ‘Captain Marvel’. He is also starring in the upcoming Matthew Vaughn-directed ‘Kingsman’ prequel ‘The King’s Man’ and Marvel Studio’s superhero series ‘What If?’ He is repped by CAA, Elevate and The Safran Company.
