Cardi B, Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, The Carters and more are among the handful of A-list artists in music that have scored multiple nominations for the 2018 Video Music Awards. The nomination list which was released on Monday, July 16 included Cardi B with a leading 10 VMAs including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z or as they’re known on their latest surprise album and the videos for it, The Carters also scored eight nominations for their joint video for “APES**T”. Other top scorers include, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monae, Dua Lipa, SZA, Alissia Cara, Khalid and Young all scoring multiple nominations.
The 2018 VMAs is set to air live at 9pm ET on Monday, August 20, from Radio City Music Hall, the site of the first VMAs in 1984.
